Jason Aylesworth organized with EASL’s Digital Media Committee co-chairs Megan Maxwell and Andrew Seiden the “Wii Tournament Networking” event at Galway Hooker in Manhattan.

Jason Baruch organized and moderated a special two-night joint program of the Commercial Theater Institute and the EASL Section of the New York State Bar Association about the legal aspects of commercial speaker production. Experts from the industry were enlisted to lecture (including Mark Sendroff, who spoke on Creative Staff Agreements for the Broadway musical), culminating in a series of mock negotiations. The program was such a success, repeat performances will be scheduled.

Jason Aylesworth was a guest lecturer at the School of Visual Arts for the school’s basic legal rights for visual artists class, discussing the legal issues surrounding music licensing and copyright.

Jason Baruch taught his “Who Gets What?” course about royalty pools at the Commercial Theater Institute.

Jason Aylesworth co-chaired the NYSBA EASL Annual Meeting in New York City. He also organized and moderated a CLE program called “Crowdfunding for Theatre and Film Under the Jumpstart Out Business Startups (JOBS) Act of 2012.”. Panelists included Gary Emmanuel, Esq., Ken Davenport, W. Wilder Knight II, Esq. and Dollena Campbell.
